WELCOME

We are delighted to announce the upcoming symposium at ADM / NTU Singapore:
Multiversal Experiences – Parallel Universes in Virtual Reality

Interactive Virtual Reality applications, 360° films, and multi-sensory impressions create not merely immersive representations of reality but alternative layers and parallel universes.
In the realm of spherical screens and headsets, storytelling requires new approaches and requests to revisit established techniques from former periods of presentation.
Internationally renowned scholars will discuss the future potential and deficits of virtual representations in alternative parallel realities.

In February 2018, the School of Art, Design, and Media at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore brings together artists, scientists and academics from different schools of NTU (ADM, HSS, WKW, IMI), and internationally acclaimed institutions such as ZKM, UNSW, CityU and Danube University Krems for a multi-disciplinary conference on the future and aesthetic practice of virtual and augmented reality.

The symposium is jointly organised by
Assoc.-Prof. Benjamin Seide
Asst.-Prof. Elke Reinhuber
